Aria Ar Razi
is a lecturer in Visual Communication Design at Telkom University, Bandung, Indonesia. He received a Bachelor’s degree from the Visual Communication Design Program at Telkom University in 2013, and a Master’s degree in Design from Bandung Institute of Technology (Institut Teknologi Bandung) with developed a mobile application project applying the Design Thinking methodology. His academic interests focus on behavioral design. Currently, he is actively involved in teaching, community engagement, and serving as a speaker in various forums to promote and disseminate Human-Centered Design and Design Thinking methodologies.

Andrea Benedetti
holds a Ph.D. in Design from Politecnico di Milano and is currently UX designer at the University of Milan. His work focuses on the intersection of data visualization, creative programming, and communication design to raise awareness of how data is produced online by users. He is a former member of DensityDesign Lab, where he collaborated from 2018 to 2024.

Zhamilya Bilyalova
graduated from Wellesley College in 2025 with a B.A. in Anthropology. Her research focuses on the intersection of social media, digital well-being, and adolescent development, with particular attention to marginalized and understudied youth populations at the Youth, Media, and Well-being Research Lab. At the University of Oldenburg’s Media Informatics Group, she investigated AI for decision-making in public administration and calibrated trust. She co-founded PrivaZy Collective, a Gen Z-focused initiative making digital privacy accessible through storytelling, and brings both lived experience and interdisciplinary research expertise to understanding how technology shapes human connection and mental health.

Pedro Cardoso
Designer, Assistant Professor (Department of Design, Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Porto), and Researcher (i2ADS/ Research Institute for Art, Design and Society). PhD in Art and Design (2016), MA in Image Design (2008), and BA in Communication Design (2006). His work, in the scope of Art, Design, Interaction and Experience, develops in multidisciplinary contexts, focusing on the exploration of poietic and aesthetic processes of games and computer systems. His interests lie in their study as tools for creative thinking and innovation, and critical work for affective experiences and social intervention.

Liliana Castro
completed her PhD in Clinical Psychology in 2014 at the University of Minho, her Bachelor’s Degree in Medicine in 2004 at the University of Porto Institute of Biomedical Sciences Abel Salazar, and her Master’s Degree in Affective Neurosciences in 2011 at the University of Maastricht. She is a Visiting Assistant Professor at the University of Porto’s Abel Salazar Institute of Biomedical Sciences and holds the degree of Graduate Hospital Assistant in the field of Psychiatry. She works as a Medical Career Assistant, Specialist in Psychiatry at the Magalhães Lemos Clinic of the Santo António Hospital and University Centre.

Linda Charmaraman
is a senior research scientist at Wellesley Centers for Women at Wellesley College. She received her PhD in Human Development and Education from UC Berkeley and is founder/director of the Youth, Media, & Wellbeing Research Lab. Her longitudinal work on adolescent social technology use and parental media monitoring has been funded by NICHD, Children & Screens, Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, among others. She was co-author of the APA’s (2023/2024) advisory on adolescent social media use and the recent 2025 APA advisory on the use of AI and adolescent wellbeing. Together with a youth advisory board, she co-organizes free Digital Wellbeing workshops for middle school girls and allies from underserved backgrounds (wcwonline.org/summerworkshops).

Elena Cicuto
earned her master’s degree in Organization and Territory Management at the University of Trento, following a bachelor’s degree in Cultural Tourism Planning and Management at the University of Padua. She carried out post- graduate research at the University of Trento within the “P4P: Participatory Design for Public Good” project, focusing on ethnographic research, qualitative analysis, and support for scientific writing. She continued her academic path at the Free University of Bozen-Bolzano, focusing on the empowerment and inclusion of children with neuro-developmental diseases (NDD), particularly those with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), through physical computing and game design. During this period, she conducted research at Heriot- Watt University in Edinburgh and presented her work at international conferences and workshops. She currently works on the design and implementation of inclusive educational activities.

Federico Luis del Blanco García
is Ph.D. in Architecture from the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid. Courses in Computer Science at MIT and Professional Certificate in Computer Science (Harvard). Excellence Scholarship from the CAM. Director of the Architectural Computing and Design for Construction group at UPM. He is currently the coordinator of the BIM and Computational Design workshops at UPM. He has been the coordinator of the Master’s in Computational Design at UPM and a visiting professor at the Architectural Association in London. Previously, he has collaborated with entities such as Toyo Ito & Associates, NH Hotels, Real Madrid C.F., and the Madrid City Council.

Sidrah Durrani
is a Program Manager at SecondMuse, leading innovation and entrepreneurship in the field of youth mental health. She manages the Accelerator and Youth Co-Creator Club at Headstream, supporting early-stage companies in scaling their ventures and building impactful digital solutions alongside young people. Sidrah received her Master’s degree in developmental psychology from Teachers College, Columbia University, and brings her research experience to drive the next generation of evidence-based technologies.

Khadija El Aadmi-Laamech
is a PhD candidate in the Interactive and Distributed Technologies for Education (TIDE) Research Group at Universitat Pompeu Fabra. Her research focuses on designing educational technologies from a well-being perspective, aiming to enhance the digital well-being and user experience of both students and teachers. With a master’s degree in UX and Interaction Design, her work blends Human-Computer Interaction and Human-Centered Design principles, emphasizing educational, affective, and psychological approaches to create more supportive and effective digital educational environments.

Tommaso Elli
holds a Ph.D. in Design focused on visualization for literary studies and is a junior assistant professor at Politecnico di Milano’s Design Department. Since 2023, he has worked with the Retail Experience Lab on the MUSA project (NRRP), exploring fashion retail, sustainability, and circularity. Collaborating with DensityDesign since 2016, he has contributed to research and teaching on information design and data visualization. He is part of the RAWGraphs development team and is the co-founder of Associazione Abilítiamo Autismo.

Jose María Font Fernández
is an Associate Professor in Computer Science at Malmö University and holds a PhD in artificial intelligence from the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid. His research focuses on artificial intelligence and computational intelligence in games, exploring the ways in which AI can be a productive and creative tool during the video game development process, such as procedural content generation and mixed-initiative creative tools. He is also active in gamification, e-learning, and purposeful games.

Juana María García Ladrón de Guevara
graduated in architecture at the Universidad Politécnica de Alicante (UA), currently working as graphic expression teacher at secondary, high school and professional training levels. She holds a specialization in computer graphics for architecture (MIAU) at the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid (ETSAM) and a Master´s degree in game design at CICE. Experience in architectural 3D design & visualization as ArchViz artist working at different companies in Madrid, Barcelona and London. As PhD researcher in architectural communication at the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid. Madrid (UPM), in her thesis she seeks to analyse and extract a comparison between virtual worlds and physical worlds through an analysis methodology that clarifies video game design guidelines, based on quantifiable parameters of architectural, urban and social nature.

Rosella Gennari
At the Faculty of Engineering of the Free University of Bozen-Bolzano, she is an Associate Professor in Computer Science for Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), with a focus on: (1) Interaction Design and Computing/AI, especially with physical and digital (phygital) artefacts; (2) Interaction Design and Children; (3) Interaction Design and Technology-Enhanced Learning (TEL). She obtained her Ph.D. in Computer Science in 2002 on Automated Reasoning, Amsterdam University and was post-doc, with the ERCIM “Alain Bensoussan” fellowship for talented young researchers, CWI, Amsterdam, in 2002, then at FBK-irst, Trento, in 2003. She has co-authored more than 100 international peer-reviewed papers. She is also Editorial Board Member of the Journal of Child Computer Interaction, Elsevier (Q1), committee member of conferences in HCI, and she is regularly invited to review articles for top HCI conferences and journals. She has authored and managed several projects, e.g., the FP7-EU TERENCE (2010- 2013) research project, for which she was Scientific & Technological Coordinator of the entire Consortium, WP Leader, and Principal Investigator. She has institutional responsibilities at the Faculty of Engineering, e.g., currently, she serves in its Third-Mission Board for schools and public engagement, and she is Head of the Research Unit “Human-Centred Intelligent Systems”.

Bruno Giesteira
Associate Professor with Habilitation at the University of Porto, Design Department of the Faculty of Fine Arts. Member of the Board of the Faculty’s Design Department, currently he is Director of the Doctoral Design Program and the Postgraduate Degrees in Interaction and Games Design and Health Technology Design. Member of the Academic Committee of EUGLOH – “European University Alliance for Global Health”. Integrated Researcher at ID+ in the HEAD – Health + Design lab group, being a Collaborating Researcher at INESC TEC, HumanISE group.

Federica Gini
has a PhD in Cognitive Science with a dissertation on gamification in education. Her research examined how different game modalities – e.g., individual, cooperative, and competitive – shape the effects of gamified learning environments. She is particularly interested in how these approaches influence motivation and educational outcomes, investigating the role of game-based strategies in supporting effective teaching and learning.

Catherine Grevet Delcourt
is an Associate Professor of Computer Science at Wellesley College and the co-Director of the Media Arts and Sciences program. Her research focuses on social computing and human-computer interaction in the areas of social systems prototyping and research on prototyping for social wellbeing with diverse early social media users. She teaches courses across the CS and MAS curriculum.

Quan Gu
graduated from Wellesley College in 2024 with B.A. in Media Arts and Sciences, and Psychology. She is currently a PhD student at the UC Berkeley School of Information, specializing in Human-Computer Interaction. Her research centers on empowering underrepresented children and families through ICT experiences that inspire, support, and foster innovation.

Orkan Zeynel Güzelci
received a B.Arch. (2010) degree in Architecture from Istanbul Kultur University, a M.Sc. (2012) degree in the Architectural Design Program, a Ph.D. (2018) degree in the Architectural Design Computing Program from Istanbul Technical University (ITU), and a Post-Doctoral Certificate (2021) from the University of Porto. Currently, he is an associate professor at ITU and a researcher at FAUP+DFL/CEAU.

Davinia Hernández-Leo
professor in the Department of Engineering at Pompeu Fabra University, Serra Húnter Fellow and ICREA Academia Awardee (2019, 2024). Her research is mainly developed in the interdisciplinary field of Technologies for Education and Collaboration. She is the head of the Interactive and Distributed Technologies for Education group. Previously, she has held positions such as Vice-President of the European Association in Technology-Enhanced Learning, Head of Innovation and Teaching Quality at the School of Engineering, and Commissioner associated to the Vicerector for educational transformation at UPF. She is currently Academic Coordinator of the Department of Engineering and of the Master’s Program in Cognitive Systems and Interactive Media..

Gillian Hodgden
graduated from Wellesley College in 2024 with a B.A. in Media Arts and Sciences. Her undergraduate research explored deceptive design patterns, user-centered design, as well as participatory design research with youth. She currently resides and works in Brooklyn, NY where she manages a medical media library.

ZhiXin Jin
Graduated from Wellesley College in 2024 with a B.A. in Computer Science and Philosophy. She is currently a M.A. student studying Philosophy, Law and Policy at Boston College where she continues to explore topics in Technology Ethics and research ways to make digital technology tools safer and more ethical for our society.

İrem Kekilli
received a B.Arch. (2022) degree in Architecture from TOBB University of Economics and Technology and is currently pursuing a M.Sc. degree in the Architectural Design Computing Program at Istanbul Technical University (ITU). Her research focuses on interactive spatial systems, body-centric perception, and architectural design.

Sofia Kobayashi
Graduated from Wellesley College in 2024 with B.A. in Computer Science. She is currently a software engineer at Bloomberg where she continues to explore how to create and maintain products that are both functional and impactful in a chaotic market.

Luciana Lima
is a psychologist and researcher at ITI (Interactive Technologies Institute/LARSyS). Her academic background includes Arts, Social Psychology and Educational Sciences. She is the co-creator of the research project entitled Game Art and Gender Equity (GAGE). In 2023, she published a book on the results of her post-doctoral research in Multimedia Art carried out at the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Lisbon. She has teaching experience in higher education institutions both in Brazil and Portugal. She has published several articles and book chapters on the integration and participation of women in the Portuguese digital games industry.

Annapaola Marconi
received her Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Trento in 2008. She is currently a Senior Researcher at Fondazione Bruno Kessler (FBK), where she leads the Motivational Digital Systems (MoDiS) research unit (https://modis.fbk.eu/ ). Her research focuses on persuasive and motivational systems leveraging gamification and gameful design techniques to enhance user engagement, motivation, and behavior change. She actively contributes to the development and dissemination of initiatives and projects that translate research findings into impactful applications, fostering societal benefits and improving citizens’ quality of life.

Caitlin Mbuakoto
is a Developmental Psychology PhD student at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Her research aims to utilize a variety of methods to understand how digital media influences the development of Black girls with a specific focus on their identity development, sexual wellbeing, and interpersonal relationships.

Alessandra Melonio
is an Associate Professor at the Department of Environmental Sciences, Informatics and Statistics at Ca’ Foscari University of Venice. Her research lies primarily in the field of Human–Computer Interaction (HCI), with a focus on interaction design and physical computing, mainly for educational purposes. She investigates and develops interactive tangible solutions designed with and for target users—especially children and teenagers—across diverse learning contexts. She has co-authored more than 60 international peer-reviewed publications in HCI and Technology-Enhanced Learning (e.g., ACM CHI, TEI, International Journal of Human–Computer Studies). She serves on the organising committees of major international conferences in HCI and TEL, acting as co-chair or associate chair (e.g., CHI, AVI, MobileHCI, CSCW, INTERACT, MIS4TEL).

Marco Mores
is a PhD student in Experimental Research through Design, Art and Technology at the Free University of Bozen-Bolzano. His research lies in the field of Co-Design, with a focus on involving vulnerable populations, mainly people with Intellectual Disabilities. He investigates how co-design tools and human factors influence the agency of people with Intellectual Disabilities. He has co-authored 8 papers in the field of Human-Computer Interaction (e.g ACM CHI, International Journal of Human-Computer Studies).

Aliea Nallbani
graduated from Wellesley College in 2024 with B.A. in Media Arts and Sciences and a minor in Economics. For the past year, she has been a Research Fellow and Teaching Assistant at the Virtual Restoration and Digital Humanities Lab at the Beijing University of Civil Engineering and Architecture (BUCEA). Her work focused on the virtual restoration of Chinese cultural heritage, as well as information design and translation explaining the lab’s methodology and research.

Maria Paola Paladino
received her PhD in Social Psychology from the University of Padova (2000) and is currently Full Professor in Social Psychology at the University of Trento. Her research focuses on how people perceive, relate to, and behave toward other individuals or socially relevant entities (e.g., robots). She has investigated dehumanization and its behavioral outcomes in various social contexts, ranging from national identities to gender relations, and more recently, social robots. She is currently addressing issues related to socio-economic and educational inequalities as well as gender-based discrimination and violence, drawing on a social psychological approach.

Viviane Peçaibes
completed her PhD in Design in 2023 at the University of Porto – Faculty of Fine Arts, a master’s degree in Strategic Design in 2015 and a bachelor’s degree in Design in 2012 at the University of Vale do Rio dos Sinos (Brazil). She is an integrated researcher and postdoctoral researcher at LARSyS/ITI. She has received 20 awards and/or distinctions. In her professional activities, she has interacted with 62 collaborators in co-authoring scientific articles.

Andreas Rio Adriyanto
is an Assistant Professor at Telkom University, specializing in Interaction Design, UX/UI, and Visual Learning. Holding a doctorate in Fine Arts and Design from ITB and a Master’s in Information Technology from UGM, his academic and professional journey bridges design, technology, and education. He has authored numerous scientific publications on digital learning and user-centered design and has actively contributed to various community development projects, training, and national seminars. With a career spanning over two decades, Andreas combined academic research with practical expertise in web development, multimedia, and design thinking to enhance digital learning experiences and human-centered design innovation.

Eduardo Roig Segovia
is a licensed architect and holds a PhD in Architecture from the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid. His dissertation, The Augmented Environment, was awarded cum laude and exhibited at the 16th Venice Biennale. He is Associate Professor in the Department of Architectural Graphic Ideation at the ETSAM School of Architecture, where his academic work includes regular collaboration with the EU Research Executive Agency on the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions. Roig is also co-founder of Combolab, whose work has received wide recognition both nationally and internationally.

Eftychia Roumelioti
is a researcher at Fondazione Bruno Kessler (FBK). She holds a PhD in Computer Science, and her research interests include gamification and educational technology, with a special emphasis on addressing sensitive topics and promoting digital well-being. She has experience working on interdisciplinary projects that applied gamified approaches to raise awareness on issues such as online safety, gender-based violence, and child protection. She has collaborated with psychologists and engaged diverse teams and user groups, including children, across Italy, Greece, and other European countries.

Patricia Santos
is a Tenure Track Professor on Human-Centered Learning Technologies and a Ramón y Cajal fellow at Pompeu Fabra University (UPF). She is a senior member of the TIDE (Interactive & Distributed Technologies for Education) research group and co-principal investigator of the TESI (Technology, Society, Interactions) research unit. Her research is focused on Technology-Enhanced Learning, specifically in the fields of Human-Computer Interaction and Learning Design. Throughout her career, she has received numerous awards for her innovative work, including the Best PhD Thesis Award for her Summa Cum Laude PhD from UPF in 2011. Her research is deeply embedded in international, multidisciplinary projects, and she has co-authored publications with 118 researchers worldwide.

Gianluca Schiavo
is a psychologist and researcher at Fondazione Bruno Kessler (FBK), with a PhD in Cognitive Science. His research primarily focuses on Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), emphasizing the design, development, and assessment of collaborative, social, and accessible technologies. He specializes in the development and evaluation of AI-enabled solutions that advance human learning, foster equity, and promote social inclusion adopting a human-centered AI approach.

Sri Soedewi
is an Assistant Professor specializing in UI/UX Design and Human-Centric Design. With a strong academic background in Visual Communication Design and a Master of Art from ISBI Bandung, her work emphasizes inclusive design, user empathy modeling, and emotion-driven interfaces. She integrated cognitive psychology and interaction design to improve usability and user experience, particularly in e-commerce platforms. Certified in UX and interaction design by institutions such as Quix Boothcamp, Coursera, and the Interaction Design Foundation, she continues to explore the intersection of design and human behavior in digital experiences.

Muhammet Furkan Yiğitoğlu
received a B.Arch. (2023) degree in Architecture from Gebze Technical University and is currently pursuing an M.Sc. degree in the Architectural Design Computing Program at Istanbul Technical University (ITU). His research focuses on generative systems in architectural design, artificial intelligence, and material-based design.

Paige Whalen
is a sophomore at Amherst College pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Economics and Psychology. Her research interests focus on how emerging AI technologies shape human decision-making, economic behavior, and cognitive biases, as well as their broader social and ethical impacts.

Massimo Zancanaro
is a full professor of Computer Science at the Department of Psychology and Cognitive Science of the University of Trento and the head of the Intelligent Interfaces and Interaction Research Unit at Fondazione Bruno Kessler. His research interests are in the field of Human-Computer Interaction and specifically on the topic of Intelligent Interfaces for which he is interested in investigating aspects related to the design as well as to study the reasons for use and non-use.
