is Full Professor at the Institute of Education, University of Chile; Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the University of California at Los Angeles. He obtained the Best Paper Award of the 10th International Conference in Methodologies and Intelligent Systems for Technology Enhanced Learning MIS4TEL 2020, Italy; Best Paper Award of 10th International Conference on Web-based Learning – ICWL 2011, Hong-Kong; Best Poster Award of 12th European Conference on Technology Enhanced Learning – ECTEL 2017, Estonia. He co-directs the APEC InMside project and has leaded projects funded by the International Development Research Centre (IDRC) Canada, the Finnish Academy of Sciences together with ANID Chile, and the Inter-American Development Bank.
