earned her PhD in Equity and Innovation in Education from the University of Santiago de Compostela, with a focus on decolonizing frameworks for Open Digital Education. She is Research Professor in Lifelong Learning at the Institute for the Future of Education Europe in Spain. She has served as Chairholder of the UNESCO Chair in Open Education and as coordinator of the Virtual Learning Environments Program and the Interdisciplinary Center for Open and Accessible Educational Resources at the Universidad de la República in Uruguay.
